The Copperhead snake is found in Ohio, Texas, Florida, Massachusetts, Nebraska, and found less commonly in the states around those. They live in wooded hillsides, edges of swamps, canyon springs, and dense cane. It main challenges are humans and other big preditors. The adaption it has its a heat sensitive pits that detect animals even when it is dark. The Copperhead usually lives with other snakes in an underground den or under a rock or a fallen tree trunk. It keeps it's self warm by basking out in the sun. It is a consumer that eats mice, small birds, frogs, small snakes, and insects.
